The Big Bang Challenge gives young people the opportunity to explore real-world issues through STEM project work.
Using step-by-step resources, students investigate problems, develop ideas and create solution. Along the way, they build the skills used by engineers, scientists and technologists every day.

Whether you have a single lesson, several days or a whole term available, The Big Bang Challenge can be adapted to suit your timetable and students.
Students can complete one Challenge or explore several different themes, making it suitable for STEM clubs, classroom learning and enrichment activities.
Connect STEM learning to the real world
Each Challenge focuses on a real-world theme, encouraging students to explore how STEM can help address challenges facing people, communities and the environment.
Plus, you can take the Challenge further by entering your project into The Big Bang Competition.
