The UK's biggest STEM celebration for young people
The Big Bang Fair is the UK’s largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people. Now in its 19th year and powered by EUK Education, The Fair brings together employers, professional institutions, universities and STEM organisations. Creating an exciting event filled with hands-on activities and careers inspiration.
Designed for school groups and taking place over 3 days in June at the NEC in Birmingham, The Fair helps students explore future opportunities in STEM. Through interactive exhibits, workshops, live shows and conversations with people working across the sector.
Who makes The Fair possible?
The Big Bang Fair is delivered in partnerships with organisations from across the STEM sector. Together, we help students discover how STEM is shaping the world around them and where their future could take them.
Who can take part ?
The Big Bang Fair is free to attend and open to eligible UK state-funded school groups in:
year 6 to year 8 (England and Wales)
P7 to S2 (Scotland)
year 7 to year 9 (Northern Ireland)

The Big Bang Fair 2026
This year, The Big Bang Fair took place at the NEC in Birmingham from 9 to 11 June 2026. Over the 3 days, students discovered hands-on workshops, activities, and exciting live shows. They met real engineers, technicians and scientists and asked questions about what they do day-to-day.
