More than a normal science lesson!
By introducing the concept of problem solving in teams, Energy Quest is more than just a regular science lesson.
A real-world scenario provides context and motivation for students as they test themselves through practical activities. Curriculum connected, it shows how science experiments fit into the real world.
It’s a practical, group-based experience for students to take part in. Inspiring young people aged 11 to 13 with teamwork, problem solving challenges and real-life role models, young people also get to see engineering in action.
Older or younger students can take part in the lesson with no problem too – everyone can download the resources. And it’s completely free.

Hear from an Energy Quest teacher
It was excellent. The feedback from the pupils was very positive. I liked the fact the students were hands-on and had a problem to solve. I also liked that they thought about what sort of engineer would suit them.
