We've done the hard work for you

The Big Bang at School Blueprint is designed to make planning easier.

You'll receive ready-to-use resources, activity ideas, workshop suggestions and practical guidance to help you create an event that works for your students.

You can use as much or as little of the Blueprint as you like – adapting activities to suit your timetable, curriculum and school priorities.

Support your careers programme

Big Bang at School helps you deliver careers education through meaningful STEM experiences.

By bringing together careers inspiration, employer engagement and hands-on activities, it helps students connect classroom learning with future opportunities in STEM.

Build support within your school

A Big Bang at School event can support a range of school priorities, including:

  • careers education

  • STEM enrichment

  • employer engagement

  • raising aspirations

  • curriculum-linked learning

Our resources and evaluation findings can help you demonstrate the value of participating and support conversations with colleagues and senior leaders.

Connect with employers and STEM organisations

You don't have to do it alone.

The Blueprint includes guidance on working with local employers, volunteers and STEM organisations. You'll bring real-world STEM experiences into school and introduce students to role models from a range of industries.

Funding support

Funding may be available to help eligible schools deliver a Big Bang at School event.

Find out more about available opportunities, eligibility requirements and how funding can support your plans when applications reopen.

Ready-to-use activities and resources
