EUK Education launches as new brand to support STEM education and careers community
EUK Education is a new brand from not-for-profit EngineeringUK. Teachers and career professionals in the STEM community can find inspiring content and free resources to excite and encourage young people about all things STEM and the diverse career pathways.
EUK Education already works very closely with the STEM teaching and career community through its Teacher Network, made up of primary and secondary schools teachers, which launched in 2020. Since then, the Network has helped on a variety of projects: from the design and content of classroom resources and the development of our bursaries, to increasing collaboration between industry and schools as well as helping us understand the best ways to connect with young people, especially those from groups which research shows are less likely to go into engineering and technology careers.
EUK Education offers:
- Up-to-date information about careers in engineering and tech, how to get into them and what skills employers need
- Careers resources and activities to get young people thinking about a possible future in technology and engineering
- Free programmes to support teachers deliver engaging lessons that help embed curriculum content while showing how it links to real jobs
- Opportunities to meet and hear from inspiring people working in STEM jobs and the companies they work for
- Funding to run STEM drop down days, access costed programmes and give students more opportunities
- Role models, inspiring professionals schools students can relate to
- Signposting to quality assured outreach activities, available online and in person
