IET Education

About IET Education

IET Education supports STEM teachers by providing a range of resources and activities linked to the UK curriculum. They partner with organisations to create experiences that inspire teachers and students alike.

The IET's free teaching resources for primary and secondary schools aim to enhance teaching and bring students’ learning to life. They're designed to support the delivery of key topics within design & technology, maths and science.

The IET provides practical activity ideas that could be used as one-off activities or linked with other areas of the curriculum. They're also fully editable so you can tailor them to your students’ or school’s needs.

Activities include:

Faraday Challenge Days

An annual competition of STEM activity days with a real-world challenge for pupils aged 12-13 years. IET also offer printable resources and guidance for schools to run their own Challenge, choosing a time and theme that suits their students.

FIRST® LEGO® League

IET deliver hands-on STEM experiences for children aged 4 to 16 years through their three FIRST® LEGO® League divisions across the UK and Ireland.

Volunteers at your school

IET Education Volunteers can be invited to bring real-life experience to your engineering related STEM activities, such as adding context to lessons in the classroom, enhancing after school clubs and youth organisation groups, and providing engineering career expertise at career events.
