Overview
Do you work with girls who are curious about artificial intelligence, coding, or the future of technology?
Unlocking AI & Computer Science is a free 8-week online programme from King's College London. It is designed to inspire and support female school students interested in exploring computer science and AI.
The programme is aimed at female students in years 12 and 13 considering computer science or related degrees. Enthusiastic students in years 10 and 11 are also encouraged to apply.
Applications close at 23:59 on Monday 28 September 2026.
Running weekly on Thursday evenings from 1 October to 3 December 2026, participants will:
explore cutting-edge research in AI and computer science
meet King's researchers and current university students
gain insights into university applications through a dedicated UCAS session
hear first-hand from women working in the tech industry
connect with like-minded girls from across the UK
Each session will feature an interactive talk on AI or computer science from a King’s researcher. One session will cover UCAS applications. Participants can also ask current students about studying computer science and AI at King’s. The series will finish with a discussion panel featuring women working in tech, who will share their experiences of the field.
Participants who attend at least 6 of the sessions will be eligible for a digital certificate of completion for the programme. Sessions will be recorded so students can catch up if they miss one.
