Video transcript:
"Hello, my name is James and I did a Broadcast Technical Operator apprenticeship in Norwich with BBC Look East. So it's 9 a.m. and I'm off to get the bus to start the day shift. I just arrived at the BBC and it's time to do the hub shift. So I'm in the hub. Time to switch it on.
"So for the last few days, I've been making some graphics for a story about students making games for the Nintendo Switch. I can manipulate the sprite by moving these little frames here, and change the position just so it looks like a game really. It’s 2 p.m., the lunch programme is finished and now it's time for lunch.
"In my role, I do things like camera operation, so working the studio, pushing the cameras around, doing the zooms and the focusing. And then sometimes I direct the bulletins. So this is the gallery where I direct and broadcast the news. It's 7:00 pm, the half an hour Look East programme is finished and I'm going home. So if you're interested in opportunities like an apprenticeship, like what I did, don't hesitate to apply.
"I'm now in a full time, permanent role and I've really enjoyed my time with the BBC."
