Divya

I got started in engineering in A Levels, where I studied maths, further maths, physics and chemistry, and I then went on to study engineering at university and I got a degree in civil and environmental engineering. And whilst I was at university, I undertook a number of different work placements in order to try to understand what type of engineering it was that I wanted to go into. And most importantly, to give me an insight in what the day-to-day life of being an engineer actually was. When I was younger, I really enjoyed learning maths because I was able to learn some fundamentals, apply some logic and solve complex problems and I wanted to use this talent and apply it practically. And that's why I became an engineer. And now what's most important to me as an engineer is that I'm using my passion and my talent to leave a lasting positive impact on the world that will be there when I'm gone.
