Technology for a greener world
Challenge your students to innovate solutions to climate change using technology with the Big Bang Challenge. Every Big Bang Challenge focuses on a particular theme and asks young people questions, to inspire and encourage them to get creative. Support students through 3 sessions to build a STEM project, step-by-step:
Session 1
Students decide on a problem to solve, and develop critical analysis and investigative thinking skills.
The outcome for this session is to create a problem statement.
Session 2
Students think of potential solutions to their problem, create a prototype and think of ways they would test this against their problem statement.
Session 3
Students reflect on their project, what they learnt and anything they would do differently next time.
In your challenge pack, you will find a game-board for young people to track progress through the challenge, plus certificates which can be handed out to celebrate the STEM skills they learn along the way.
