Today we launch Tomorrow’s Engineers Week
Join us from 10 to 14 November and inspire students to dare to discover engineering and technology careers.

Now in its 13th year, schools across the UK are taking part in bespoke assemblies and hands-on activities to develop their passion for engineering. This year’s theme, Dare to discover, shows students that it’s ok not to get it right first time. Trial and error are at the heart of all engineering and tech careers and a passion for STEM can take them far. From experiments that don’t go as planned, to careers that take unexpected turns, we’re showing students the exciting futures that could be in store for them.
This year’s resources include:
Dare to discover assembly and lessons
Designed to inspire students to explore the positives of testing and learning as you go. Our assembly and lesson plans are full of activities and inspiring stories to help your students’ question, test to learn more and discover their own path.
Dare to discover video series
Real engineers and technologists talk to camera about their careers. From a marine engineer who was a horse-riding teacher, to a technician who was a waitress, introduce your students to professionals with unconventional career journeys.
Dare to discover panel
Students and teachers from across the country have been sending in questions to our expert panel. Help your students learn more about engineering and tech from the specialists in the workforce now. Featuring engineers and careers professionals from RWE Renewables UK, Raeon, The Met Office, Thales UK, Orcina Ltd, Green Folk, Oxford Brookes University and EngineeringUK.
Join hundreds of schools across the UK to inspire the next generation of engineers!
