Showcasing STEM activities this December

We’re celebrating the festive period and showcasing amazing STEM activities over on Neon! Teachers and educators can celebrate the end of term and discover practical, inspirational resources with 12 days of STEM inspiration.

The free, plug and play resources and activities are designed to excite students and connect them with real-world careers in engineering and technology.

The selection of resources support curriculum learning and spark career conversations with primary and secondary school students. Plus, it’s completely flexible! Take part straight away and engage students in the final weeks of term or download and save the resources to kickstart 2026.

Commenting on the success of the celebration, Head of Neon, Dan Powell commented:

From hands-on activities and inspiring competitions to our much-loved magazine, it highlights everything we aim to do. Educators can find everything from engaging, hands-on lessons to inspiring case studies of real-life engineers. There’s something for everyone - discover a fun bath bomb recipe that teaches chemical reactions for primary students. Download a Big Bang at School AI workshop exploring future technology careers for secondary school classrooms. Or, challenge students to consider solutions to global issues through Project Earth, and get inspired by Alicia, an engineer saving lives at sea with the RNLI.
