Lots of love for Climate Schools Programme

Date published: 24 September 2024

More and more schools are benefiting from Climate Schools Programme, brought to you by EUK Education. It has been developed in tandem with industry which helps students explore solutions to tackling climate change.

Primary school pupils in a classroom setting. The pupils have small model wind turbines on their desks along with text books and pencils. Two students are interacting with their model.

The Climate Schools Programme brings real-world examples of work that engineers and technologists are already doing to tackle climate change into the classroom. It helps students understand possible green careers as well as potentially helping reduce climate anxiety, which many young people experience.

Through curriculum-linked science, geography and English lessons and resources, it helps students explore solutions to tackling climate change. They discover how engineers, engineering and technology are a key part of addressing this challenge.

To date, 671 teachers and careers leaders across the UK have signed up to the programme and over the next few years we want to reach even more. If you’re a teacher, please do help spread the word to neighbouring schools and across your networks.
