New Unifrog course launched for Tomorrow's Engineers Week

We’re delighted to have partnered with Unifrog to develop a new short course about how engineers are changing the world and helping to create a brighter, greener future.

Unifrog is a platform used in 57% of all UK state secondary schools and 1.9 million active students globally, empowering careers leaders and educators to support their students' career readiness and decision making, and helping students make good choices and submit strong applications.

Launched to celebrate Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, Building a brighter future: the world of engineering aims to increase students’ understanding of the engineering and technology sector and how it might fit with their interests and skills.

To develop the course content and messaging, we worked in collaboration with Unifrog. EUK Education and Neon careers content, case studies and videos are embedded throughout.

It is based on 6 x 1-hour themed sessions, which students aged 11 to 14 can explore and complete in their own time. Each session presents the information in engaging ways, such as through interactive activities, quiz questions and videos. The 6 themed sessions are:

  1. What is engineering?
  2. Creative problem-solvers
  3. Going green: the future of engineering
  4. The power of diversity
  5. Are you ready to meet the future you?
  6. Becoming an engineer

By the end of this course, students will understand what engineers do, the diverse range of sectors they work in, and the important role they play in creating a greener future. They’ll also know about the different routes into engineering.

The course is available for schools with a Unifrog login.
