- Student worksheets, lesson plans and teacher guides to support you every step of the way
- A guide to external funding to help you financially

A Big Bang at School event is a unique opportunity to celebrate all things STEM, give students hands-on learning experiences, and support your school's careers programme.
Why teachers and students love Big Bang at School
Big Bang at School is open to everyone, and it's completely flexible. Pick and choose what’s right for you and your students. Our evaluation in 2023/24 showed that 94% teachers agreed the event was accessible to students of all abilities.
It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and confidence. You can connect with real-life STEM professionals and bring future careers to life for your class.
Teachers across the UK have shared the impact it has made on their school. A teacher in Scotland commented:
“We did the Road to RIAT activity as part of our Big Bang at School with 1st and 2nd years – it was amazing, the students really enjoyed it. They got to learn all about airplanes and designed their own, with little motors.
The experience was well sorted out and organised – there’s nothing I would change – we even got a certificate! It’s helped shaped the future of the school STEM engagement program, and the students themselves.”
And after running a Big Bang at School event, 76% of teachers were more confident talking to their students about careers in engineering.
Applications are open now - don't miss this chance to bring the magic of STEM to your students. The deadline to apply is 13 February 2026. The sooner you apply, the sooner we can support you to deliver an exciting event.
